  1. Hey there!
Like your test parameters. I believe your time frame of 30-40 min is an adequate amount of time for the test and the test spanning over 5 days is a nice commitment. Having such a large amount of test subjects in two separate categories should give you great feedback. How will you alter your instructions if there is a large discrepancy between students and staff? Timing each test will give you a valuable source of information. User profile seems reasonable considering the circumstances. Wish I could participate to get one of those sweet shirts!

  2. * Do you have any unanswered questions after you finished reading the draft? What are they?

None really, I think you were pretty thorough with explaining the team, test parameters, and user profiles.

    * What did you like about the draft? How/why did you like it? How might the author build on that section?

I really liked your test parameters. I think it’s a lot different than the way others had set up their plans. Also, I liked how you gave something to each participant. In reality, I don’t think people would just volunteer to do something like this without some benefit to them, so that was nice to see.

    * What sections are confusing to you? How/why? Ask your classmates questions that would help you to make sense of the section.

    No section is confusing me.

    * Where would you like to know more? Ask questions!

I think everything is pretty straightforward, but I guess if I had to pick a section, knowing more about the student test and how it relates staff test.

    * Does the draft provide all the requested information listed in the assignment prompt? If not, what is it missing?

Most of the requested information is represented, the last section of test issues and goals just needs to be finished.

    * Use the”Editing Proofreading Strategies” (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/general/gl_edit.html) to focus on some content and structure elements. Try to give specific details and examples of how/why you would revise something.
    * Use the same page to focus on some surface and style elements. Try to give specific details and examples of how/why you would revise something.

I think you’re draft is off to a great start. If I were to recommend revising anything it’d have to be the bullet-point format. Of course, having bullet points for a draft is perfectly fine, but for the final I think paragraphs would be a better choice. Overall, I really like how your test is set up! Good luck with Project 3!

  3. [...] Peer Review #2 After reviewing some of my peers’ rough drafts of Project 3, I have to say I was a bit intimidated. Everyone had very detailed rough drafts. They seemed almost like the final versions to me! I think that what I took away most from reviewing other rough drafts was what to do for my final draft and what to avoid. I know there were a lot bulleted lists going around, but the examples from the book were mostly based around paragraphs. I think this is more like what is expected. However, I think that overall, the lists got their points across. In the long run, it was helpful to both parties to review other drafts.
